New York, New York!
Yesterday the girls were up early--we left Emma Willard at 6 am and didn't return until after 10 pm. The field trip was full of an array of activities, from academic stops like the 9/11 Memorial and the Guggenheim Museum, to "celebrity sightings" at Madame Tussaud's wax museum and some shopping time in Time Square. There were literally thousands of pictures taken--make sure to ask your daughter to see some of her favorites!
Taking lots of pictures! |
Having discuss the events of September 11th, 2001 in class this week, we visited the 9/11 Memorial.
At the Guggenheim we visited James Turrell's installation Aten Reign which invited you to lie down and enjoy the changing colors
What else would you have for lunch in New York...Pizza!
We successfully navigated the NYC subway
with more than 40 people!
All on board! |
And we even had to transfer, too! |
The day ended with dinner in Bryant Park before we got on the bus to head home |
